1. Stick to Habits with Petite Practices
Start with small, manageable steps, known as petite practices or microhabits, that can easily fit into your daily routine.
In this episode, I give a few examples. For instance, start with just 10 squats or a 5-minute walk instead of planning to exercise for an hour.
This approach helps overcome resistance and makes it easier to stick to the habit, even on busy days.
2. Stick to Habits with Stacking
Anchor new habits to existing routines to make them stick. This technique, called habit stacking, involves pairing a new habit with a habit you already do regularly.
As I explain in this video, after you pour your morning coffee, write down one thing you’re grateful for. By linking the new habit to an established one, it becomes easier to remember and integrate into your daily life.
